Yes, my binder fits well on Babylock coverstitch. Some models need the “plate” if you want to be able to attach the binder with screws. Listed below
Need the universalplate
Do not need the plate. The binder can be attached direct on the machine
The plate are attached to the machine with screws, and then you attach the binder to the plate with pink screws
Personally once the plate are installed I do not remove it. Just remove the binder when hemming or sewing other that binding.
An alternative to the plate are to attach the binder with “sticky-stuff” direct to the machine
Is your machine missing from the list? Don’t worry. If your Babylock coverstitch only has two screw holes by the foot – plate are needed. If there are four screw holes – No plate needed.

For Janome coverstitch I have two great feet to use with the binder. The Short clear foot (with an edge) or the Clearview foot for coverstitch
